2. Identigene is a company name you’ll see often if doing any research on DNA/genetics companies. They offer a variety of options and tests with excellent reviews. They also offer a home test you can pick up at Walgreen’s depending on where you live for $29.99 with a $129 processing fee which of course is higher if used in a court of law. 3. DNA Diagnostics is pretty popular these days as the leading DNA testing company used on TV. They were featured on Geraldo which was a popular daytime talk show a long time ago FYI. They are now the exclusive DNA testing providers for the Maury show also known as “who’s the father”. They have a pretty interesting and informative top 10 paternity questions answered section on their website. The link of course will be posted in the resource section.
4. Ancestry.com has put alot of cash into advertsing and marketing the past few years which is starting to pay off. The reviews of this site are good, the site is easy to navigate, it’s worth checking out. Most people use this site to find long lost family members which by the way can be traced back 300 years or more.
5. DNA world wide offers confidential DNA testing of all kinds with a free home DNA kit. Easy site to navigate as well as a section on the side you can email, get a call, or chat with somebody live about the specifics of pricing or whatever other questions you have of course the customers reviews were great and I’ll post a link to the website in the resources section.
6. Beta genetics paternity testing glides in at number 6 for a variety of inexpensive tests with good customer reviews quoting a price of $199 for the testing fee and as per the usual in this list the link will be posted where? You guessed it, on the research page!
7. Home DNA has a few respected reviews and reputation for being simple with affordable prices and an AABB accreditation. Link posted on the resource page.
8. DNA junction is here at number 8 only because this isn’t a DNA/genetics company, it’s a website which offers a ton of information about DNA testing to help you make an educated decision before you pay. They don’t offer a list of suggestions but they do advise you on what to look for and arm you with knowledge so you’ll know what you’re looking for. Link posted on the resource page of course.
9. Ptc labs made it at number 9 simply because i don’t have allot of information for this company other than the customer reviews are good and they charge $395 with a money back guarantee which is always good to hear. Links people, resource page be there or be square.
10. And last but not least dnatesting.com offers a free and quick eye color test if all else fails. The theory behind this is dark eyes are dominant meaning 2 dark eyed people can’t make a light eyed baby. This used to be taken seriously but these days its more of novelty than anything else. FYI a baby’s eyes can be lighter at birth and darken within 1 to 2 years of life.
