Is there a free DNA genealogy test?
I am an African American woman who would like to learn about her roots. However, I cannot afford the $200+ prices of tests I see on the internet. I was wondering, is there a cheap (or even better, free) DNA test that I can get to figure out where I come from? Thank you in advance!
(and by cheap, I mean $1-$100)
No. Companies that do DNA research are in it for profit. Perhaps there is a TV show dealing with genealogy that might be willing to feature your family on their show and pay for the DNA testing. Check Oprah’s website to see if they’re doing anything on genealogy in the future.
